Grimsel Pass

Grimsel Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.164 m (7,100 ft) above the sea level. The road is normally closed between October and May, due to the high snowfall on the pass. It's one of the highest paved roads of the Alps.

Lauterbrunnen

Lauterbrunnen is situated in one of the most impressive trough valleys in the Alps, between gigantic rock faces and mountain peaks. With its 72 thundering waterfalls, secluded valleys, colorful alpine meadows and lonely mountain inns, the Lauterbrunnen Valley is one of the biggest nature conservation areas in Switzerland.

Zermatt

Zermatt, in southern Switzerland’s Valais canton, is a mountain resort renowned for skiing, climbing and hiking. The town, at an elevation of around 1,600m, lies below the iconic, pyramid-shaped Matterhorn peak. Its main street, Bahnhofstrasse is lined with boutique shops, hotels and restaurants, and also has a lively après-ski scene. There are public outdoor rinks for ice-skating and curling.

Grindelwald

Grindelwald, a village in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps, is a popular gateway for the Jungfrau Region, with skiing in winter and hiking in summer. It's also a base for mountain-climbing ascents up the iconic north face of Eiger Mountain. Gletscherschlucht, a glacial gorge just outside Grindelwald, features paths with interpretive signage, waterfalls and striated limestone walls.

The Stellisee (2,537 m) is among the most famous of Zermatt’s lakes. The sight of the Matterhorn reflected on its mirror-like surface is breathtakingly beautiful, and is made for magnificent photographs. Pictures of the Stellisee can be seen all over the world: hardly surprising, because the reflection of the Matterhorn on its still surface has been photographed millions of times. The panoramic views of towering peaks, well over 4,000 m high, are among the most dramatic in the Zermatt region. The lake is a 20-minute walk from the Blauherd summit station. At sunrise and sunset, especially, this is a particularly romantic spot. Cotton grass grows along the lakeshore, providing splashes of white among the green-brown hues of the meadows

Bachalpsee is one of the most stunning alpine lakes in Switzerland, surrounded by wildflowers and adorned with an incredible backdrop of glacial mountains. The beauty of the Bachalpsee Lake is that because there is a cable car to First, it just a one-hour trek from the First station to the lake, despite being located at 2,265m in altitude.

Gornergrat

The Gornergrat is a rocky ridge of the Pennine Alps, overlooking the Gorner Glacier south-east of Zermatt in Switzerland. It can be reached from Zermatt by the Gornergrat rack railway, the highest open-air railway in Europe.
