During the last stages of the transformation he sees his daughter fall and her tears flow like rivers and form the lake beneath which his daughter will forever lie with the magic mirror.

Santa Maddalena Valley
A truly epic view on Santa Maddalena village. According to a legend, this is the place where the miraculous image of Santa Maddalena was washed up by the Fopal river. This church, obviously with the Odle mountains in the background, is one of the most popular photo motifs of the Dolomites. It was quite hard to reach the spot, planned in advance, but well-worth the hassle.
